COPE in Geneva for WMO’s 150 anniversary!

We are thrilled to share the exciting news of our recent participation at the Quai Wilson’s exhibition and the Cinétransat activities in Geneva (Switzerland), marking a significant milestone in celebrating WMO’s 150th Anniversary. We thank our scientific advisor, WMO, for their invaluable support that made the event successful.

One of the event’s highlights was the engaging colouring activity hosted by WMO in collaboration with COPE. The participation of both children and adults exceeded our expectations. These activities emphasize our mission of spreading awareness about Disaster Risk Reduction, and we are happy that these interactive sessions empowered children with vital knowledge about disaster risks.

The core focus of our efforts lies in the ‘Empowering Children with Disaster Risk Knowledge’ initiative, supported by our partnership with WMO. Together, we are dedicated to equipping the younger generation with essential skills and understanding to navigate potential hazards. Additionally, WMO’s ‘Early Warning for All’ initiative has seen significant progress, enabling us to reach a broader audience with timely DRR information.

We are happy to share images from the event here; they reflect the participants’ enthusiasm and showcase our collective effort.

Like in this event, we invite our collaborators to utilize COPE’s free content for future colouring activities and readings. It will reinforce the commitment to education and disaster preparedness. Let’s work together and get closer to a safer and more resilient future. Your involvement remains integral to our journey!
