We proudly share exciting news from our collaborator, UNICEF Learning Passport, who have recently launched four new libraries: Children on the Move, Dominican Republic, Cabo Verde, and Lao PDR. With these additions, UNICEF Learning Passport now has 15 libraries worldwide, including the Global Library, the East Asia & Pacific Library, the Climate Action Library, Egypt, Lebanon, Sierra Leone, Timor-Leste, Philippines, Ghana, Guinea, and Syria. Each library hosts COPE books to help children gain fundamental knowledge and tools to build disaster resilience.

Animated COPE audiobooks, created with UNICEF Egypt, are now available on the Offline Learning Passport, engaging students at Sharqia School near Cairo. This school supports out-of-school students and provides access to the COPE series to learn more about disaster preparedness.  

UNICEF Egypt organized STEAM education camps focused on environmental issues and climate change. The COPE books on Heatwaves and Droughts were central to this curriculum, with students participating in activities to create solutions for these disasters in their communities. These camps reached an amazing 160,000 children in public schools across Egypt! Using the COPE books, students created models demonstrating ways to reduce heat or conserve water, fostering teamwork and community awareness and providing an interactive learning experience.
