New Training-the-trainer materials in Spanish!
COPE Disaster Champions and the organizations IIARRD and PRESENTES have launched a set of manuals to complement our illustrated storybooks to increase children’s resilience to disasters.
The manuals aim to raise awareness among children about Disaster Risk Reduction, providing teachers with guidance, activities, and resources to deliver lessons and achieve learning objectives effectively. They cover six critical topics: Earthquakes, Wildfires, Floods, Landslides, Volcanoes, Heatwaves, and other interactive classroom activities.
Please watch the launch recording in Spanish to learn more about these invaluable resources. Self-generated captions are available in other languages.
“By empowering teachers with knowledge and tools to educate the new generations in Disaster Risk Reduction, we can build a safer and more sustainable future for all,” we highlighted during the launch.
Participants in the event included Catalina Díaz, Director of Disaster Risk Intelligence and Climate Change – Presentes in Colombia; Agustina Carra, Director of Communication – IIARRD in Argentina; Marcelo Sabanes, Member of the Advisory Group – MCR 2030 UNDRR initiative in Paraguay; and Lina Suárez, Director of Communications and Partnerships – COPE Disaster Champions in Hong Kong.
Thank you for helping us build a resilient future through education. 🌍📚
