South Africa!

We want you to know all the COPE activity in this country too!

Prof Antoinette Lombard  from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, joined our team and collaborated in our most recent book, Wildfires. Our book teaches children how wildfires happen, how to prepare for them, and most importantly, what to do in the event of a wildfire.

Professor Lombard and partners at the local UNICEF office distributed our book to all ECD and children’s networks in South Africa. They are looking for new partnerships to have the Wildfires book translated into Afrikaans and other African languages too. We are so excited!

We were recently featured in an article on the wildfires collaboration with the University of Pretoria.

Additionally, our Wildfires book is uploaded on the Emerging Scholars Initiative ESI Press site: https://esipress.up.ac.za/wildfires/

"My master's students loved the book, and I asked them to look at the resilience theory embedded in the book. Great fun."

Thank you so much to Professor Antoinette Lombard, her colleagues Jane Mampane and Heather Thuynsma, and our COPE team! All of you are such stars and COPE champions!
