Beat the Heat with COPE: An Interactive Storytelling Session for Children!
On Saturday, 1 August 2026, children and families at Bedok Library in Singapore joined us for a fun and engaging storytelling session featuring COPE: Heatwaves, part of the COPE Disaster Champions series.
Led by voice talent and COPE Ambassador Sia Chae, the interactive reading session took children on an exciting journey to discover what heatwaves are, why they happen, and how they can stay safe during extreme heat.
Through the story, children learned simple and practical heat-safety tips, including the importance of staying hydrated, finding shade, recognising signs of heat exhaustion, and looking out for others.
Families also learned how they can access the full collection of COPE books and free educational resources through the SUSS-COPE Online Learning Platform: SUSS-COPE Online Learning Platform.
