The Hong Kong Jockey Club created the Disaster Preparedness and Response Institute to help communities in Hong Kong reduce risk and be ready for emergencies. Whilst the project has concluded, this website remains a testament to the vital work of the DPRI. The Anticipation Hub

A platform to facilitate knowledge exchange, learning, guidance, and advocacy around virtual and in-person anticipatory action. 

The German Red Cross hosts the platform in cooperation with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre with funding support from Germany’s Federal Foreign Office.

A website designed to teach children and youth about Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation (CCA). The Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology (Inumet)

The Instituto Uruguayo de Meteorología (Inumet) is Uruguay’s national meteorological authority. Established on October 25, 2013, it provides meteorological and climatological services, including weather and climate observation, recording, and forecasting for Uruguay and surrounding oceanic areas. Inumet aims to enhance public safety and sustainable development and coordinates national meteorological activities while representing Uruguay in international meteorological organizations.

The Phoenix Children Foundation, established in 2020, is dedicated to advancing children’s rights and well-being in Uganda. They aim to enhance children’s knowledge through education, advocacy, and support. They have implemented five successful projects, impacting over 3,000 children and communities, and are preparing to launch two new programs. With 130 volunteers and partnerships with ten local and international organizations, PCF is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for children while striving to expand its impact nationally.

The National Pediatric Disaster Coalition

The National Pediatric Disaster Coalition (NPDC) was established in 2015 following the first National Pediatric Disaster Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona, hosted by Arizona’s Coyote Crisis Collaborative. Recognizing the urgent need for a nationwide healthcare coalition focused on children in disasters, the conference planning committee—comprising experts from pediatric disaster coalitions, academic centers, EMS agencies, pediatric nursing, and emergency management—formed the NPDC to advance pediatric disaster preparedness and response.

Global Water Partnership West Africa
