We joined forces with IARRD
COPE joins efforts with the Instituto Argentino para la Reducción de Riesgo de Desastres—IIARDD (The Argentinian Institute for Disaster Risk Reduction) to deliver material to children about Disaster Risk Reduction.
We are excited to share the news that we have collaborated with IARDD for the distribution of the Spanish translation of our books in Argentina. Since IIARRD’s foundation, they have supported initiatives that include topics related to risk reduction in the education of boys and girls.
For those new to IIARRD, IIARRD is an institution that aims to highlight in the community the importance of implementing actions to reduce disaster risks, both in public policies and in changes in daily habits.Adaptation to climate change must be treated with civil society as a cultural change. For this reason, IARRD seeks to work together with the media, schools from an early age, and women who can retransmit knowledge as RESILIENT AMBASSADORS. IIARRD is based at the Federal Capital and the province of Buenos Aires in Argentina, extending online to the entire country or in person if necessary. The team members are experts in risk reduction, humanitarian work, communication, the environment, geology, and meteorology.
Currently, IIARRD is promoting our book “Floods”, and shortly, once translated into Spanish, the remaining books of the COPE series.
