Educating children about floods from Argentina to Malaysia!

COPE Floods book in Argentina (Spanish)

One of the members of the IARDD network @carladellana, together with her colleagues from the Community Risk Management Technician of the UNLP Faculty of Social Work, created a workshop at the Punta Arcoiris picnic area in Punta Lara to educate children about being prepared for possible floods with our COPE Floods book in Spanish.

Punta Lara is in the district of Ensenada, and it is very common to suffer flooding since they are on the banks of the Río de La Plata.

COPE Floods book in Malaysia (Malay)

💛 It fills us with great pride to be able to share these photos of the floods book (in Malay) being used among children in #Malaysia

Students in a primary school participated in a storytelling session with their teachers. Children listened carefully to the story while being prepared for floods, then they participated in an activity to prepare their own puppets using the COPE characters: Candy, Ollie, Ping and Eddy! What a great idea for a kid’s activity!

We are glad the COPE material is reaching children far and wide! THANK YOU COPE collaborators for sharing the vision and being the best COPE Champions!!
