COPE in Madagascar and The Philippines!

We are thrilled to share some exciting updates on the incredible work being done by our collaborators in spreading awareness about COPE and our mission to educate communities on natural hazards.

COPE in Madagascar

We are delighted to announce the translation of our Hurricanes and Floods books into Malagasy! Météo Madagascar commemorated World Meteorological Day 2024 by presenting these translated books to the Ministry of Education. This initiative, made possible with the support of The World Meteorological Organization and Météo Madagascar, aims to educate children in Madagascar about these critical hazards. A special thanks to our dedicated Project Manager, Christine, whose tireless efforts have brought this impactful project to light.

COPE in the Philippines

We were featured in a 3-day Youth Advocacy Guide Training in Burauen, Leyte, Philippines, from the 6th to the 8th of April. This event was organized in partnership with UNICEF and the Burauen Community College, and it saw the participation of 40 young leaders. One of our youth collaborators, Nikka Gerona, included COPE in her presentation, introducing our books to the participants to highlight the importance of educating communities about disasters and the preparedness needed for them.

We are grateful to all our collaborators for their dedication and commitment to spreading awareness about COPE’s mission. Together, we are making a significant impact in empowering communities to understand better and prepare for hazards.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue collaborating and expanding our reach worldwide!
