Beat the Heat with COPE: An Interactive Storytelling Session for Children!

Join us for a fun and engaging storytelling session featuring COPE: Heatwaves, part of the COPE Disaster Champions series, designed to help children learn how to stay safe during extreme heat.

Through an interactive reading experience led by voice talent and COPE Ambassador Sia Chae, children will follow an exciting story while discovering what heatwaves are, why they happen, and the simple actions they can take to stay safe. From staying hydrated and recognising signs of heat exhaustion to finding shade and looking out for others, children will learn practical heat safety tips they can use every day.

At the end of the session, families will also learn how they can access the full collection of books and free educational resources on the SUSS-COPE Online Learning Platform
