How do we talk about climate change with children?

We’re happy to share a recent interview where COPE was invited to speak with Virginia Laino and Agustina Carra from the Inter-American Institute for Disaster Risk Reduction (IIARRD). Our Director of Communications Lina Suarez, joined the conversation to talk about our new book, Climate Change, and COPE’s mission to empower children through free educational tools on disaster risk and environmental challenges.

Conversation highlights:

– Why it’s so important to talk to children about climate change in a way they can understand
– How tools like illustrated books, jingles, and interactive materials help spark curiosity and action
– The power of teachers and caregivers to bring climate education into everyday conversations
– Actions children can take to help the planet

A huge thank you to Virginia and Agustina for the invitation and for believing in the COPE content. We’re grateful for the opportunity to share our work and continue building a culture of resilience together.
