COPE at #YouthBlast2025 – Empowering Young Voices Through Stories
The Global Youth Blast at #GP2025 in Geneva was a vibrant celebration of youth leadership in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), and COPE was proud to be part of it!
We had the incredible opportunity to engage with young changemakers from around the world and lead an interactive capacity-building session centered on the power of stories.
In our session, youth explored how creativity and storytelling can be powerful tools to educate, inspire, and empower children and adolescents to be ready and resilient in the face of disasters. From hands-on activities to meaningful dialogue, the energy and passion in the room were unforgettable!
This was more than a workshop—it was a call to action for youth-led resilience. A big THANK YOU to everyone who joined and contributed their voice to the conversation.
We were also honoured to stand alongside other incredible organizations and youth groups making waves in disaster preparedness and climate action, including:
1 Million Youth Actions Challenge (1MYAC)
UNICEF
UN Major Group for Children and Youth
IFRC
ActionAid Bangladesh & ActionAid International
Global Platforms
UNDRR
…and many more inspiring contributors working together to shape a more resilient, inclusive future.
